Shawn Collins was rated the top linebacker in the country by super prep magazine in the 1992. In that that same year he was awarded All-American linebacker and All-American hurdler (having the fastest time in the 40 yard hurdles in the state of NJ). Shawn was given a scholarship to the University of Michigan along with current NFL players: Ty Law (Jets), Amani Toomer (Giants), and John Rinyan (Eagles). Shawn earned his Bachelor's degree from Michigan. In 2000 he was selected to the All Century Team by the Star - Ledger. This selection is made every ten years, and was given to him for his athletic accomplishments in the 1990's. |
